Advice for your challenge
No matter if you are facing a complex challenge, want to tweak your internal processes or require a new perspective. From setting a shared objective, through in-depth analysis of the status quo, to a concrete set of action points - I will guarantee a FAIR process with added value for your project.
Moderation and facilitation
As an experienced conversation leader and moderator, I set a positive and connecting sphere during public events. I am available to facilitate workshops, conferences and citizen assemblies in German, Dutch, English and French.
Design and execute future-proof processes
Together with my team at TeamBurgerberaad, we design and execute complex participation project such as citizen assemblies. From information sessions over planning to execution and evaluation - we have experience across the full process.
CURIO school assembly
As part of the pilot for school assemblies, I organised the school deliberation at CURIO in Breda together with my colleague Ernst Abbing. The question posed during the school assembly in Breda was, “How can we work together to build a CURIO where you really matter?”

The municipality of Deventer organised a citizen assembly to involve residents to find solutions to climate challenges in the city. About a year after the citizen assembly ended, an independent evaluation was commissioned to assess the quality and impact of the process.

Start with the real question
Before proposing solutions, I focus on clarifying the underlying problem and situational context. Visualization and mapping are used to translate the complex into the clear.
Design a fair process
Together or with my team, I design participation processes that are transparent, inclusive and appropriate to the political and organisational context.
Staying independent and trustworthy
My role is analytical and advisory. I assess processes and choices as neutral as possible, stimulate transparency through curiosity and strive for optimal insight.

I evaluate participation processes and outcomes, and translate my findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
